TODAY'S PHOTO CHALLENGE: MY FAVORITE COLOR(S)!

HOORAY! Today's photo challenge is an easy peasy one...my favorite color...well, favorite color combo! Anyone who has known me (via this blog or otherwise) for very long should be able to guess right the first time?! RIGHT! Red and Aqua! You can tell via my Pinterest:

THOSE HOOSIERS HAVE IT GOIN ON...

Greetings, dear reader!

As foretold to you (I've been watching too much Christmas Carol lately...) the famed red and aqua hoosier cabinet I have been DROOLING over forever. It's so utterly perfect:

It's all I can do to keep my hands off when I "go to visit". It's display is all wrong...and I would SO love to coordinate the RIGHT goodies to sit in and on it! Alas, I must take photos "as is", tacky yellow sale sign and all!

This is a Landau Hoosier Cabinet...Note the wonderful red trim...is it not just SCREAMING to be in my kitchen?

A close up of one of the unusual features...a clock in the center of the hutch. There's also 2 plug ins at the top...HANDY! Somebody was thinking on their feet with this one!

Yes, the paint's a bit chippy, and the ends are more of a jadeite green than aqua (not sure if they were originally this color or if they were sun faded) regardless, I LOVE IT just as it is! Hubby Dear says the price is too high...(to which I keep telling him this particular antique mall has layaway for HIS convenience...) I think it'd make the most PERFECT birthday present, don't you?

A LITTLE RED AND AQUA SOMETHIN' SOMETHIN

Greetings, dear reader!

I was so inspired by the package I received that I just HAD to create something...so here's my little "somethin', somethin'": An AltAred Door Hanger (Front and Back)



I also created a "Happy Easter" Tent Card Garland. A technique learned from the "Banners and Garlands" class taught by the amazing Trish Turay of Work In Progress fame:






This kind of garland is a snap to make! I simply cut paper to 4x6, folded each in half, cut open sides with scalloped scissors (my second fave...first are my "Deckle" scissors!) and added easter images on the front. I spaced the finished cards on the vintage ribbon, and then added a pop dot on each side of the inside of card. Half the pop dot was on the card, the other half "caught" the ribbon to hold it in place. I'll be sending this one to my sister in Indiana...
