The Campground here at the Magic Cottage is beginning to fill! Today, 1957 Aljo campers from the Old Machala Farm came rolling in...

Imagine my delight to see these seafoam green and orange little beauties roll in! And the shades on each are working shades...the doors exact down to the lovely button door knob! And the lucky little lady who owns the camper? She's wearing pearl earrings! How perfectly perfect!

Be back soon, I've got to go get the water and electric turned on for this wonderful group of campers!

SECRETS, COWPOKES AND BAD JOKES...

Greetings dear readers!

Please continue to follow my blog if you haven't already...the "secret" cannot be divulged until I reach at least 150 followers! I am at 70+, but for some reason Google is not adding folks once they follow...SO, do not be dismayed! You WILL become a follower when you click the tab! It's like a bad joke with an annoying punchline...teehee

Meanwhile, I have an adorable image to share with you...just in time for Elizabeth's red, white and blue Western celebration:

How is THIS for adorable! The image is from a vintage Easter card...isn't it precious? The little boy and girl are made of cardstock and are "popped away" from the back of the card...I just LOVE it! For all you sweet, image collectors...I collect cowboys and cowgirls...if you happen to have an image or two you could share, that would be beyond WONDERFUL! I am working on an entire folder FULL of vintage little cowboy and cowgirl images.

How completely adorable...and doesn't the little red haired lady remind you of a certain "someone" in "The Long, Long, Trailer?"

TREASURES, LIGHTHOUSES, AND THE BEACH

Greetings, dear readers!

First, some treasures found in the little harbor town of South Haven:

I found some more vintage linens...along with a new cocoa tin that matches the OTHER one purchased a while ago...(oh no...is this the start of a (gasp) COLLECTION?!?!) Anyway, the vintage tray will be hung next to the blue one (shown a few posts ago)...along with the tins that will be strategically placed...somewhere. You may recognize the linens purchased from Hart's fabrics? I'll be making valances, and other kitchen goodies with them...

The "old, ratty" pieces of tablecloths will be used to make a new kitchen banner...behold:

VINTAGE CAMPERS...CHALET ON THE LAKE!

Greetings, dear reader!

I am back from a GLORIOUS trip to Lake Michigan and the Chalet on the Lake! The entire trip was so refreshing...sleeping in EVERY DAY, no particular schedule, no appointments, no meals to cook except for what we wanted to fix! BLISS!

Vintage campers forever on my mind, we spied this little treasure on the way to the lake:

A vintage Caravan parked under the shade of an old tree...

And...always on the prowl for the quirky and kitschy, we spied this little restaurant...

And this is what we saw upon our arrival at the chalet:

Beautiful! Peaceful! No Sound but that of the waves upon the shore...ahhhhhhh.
