Greetings dear friends!
I've been creating like a mad hatter (I just LOVE that expression, don't you? It sounds like I've gotten all dressed up to go crazy...) and here are my two offerings for the Mixed Media Challenge:

As you may recall, one of my last vintage shopping trips netted me some fine silver - in the form of spoons. I've made a spoon storybook, and now I give you: "A Spoonful of Sugar!" These sweet little children made their way into the bowl of these spoons...the one above makes me think of my boys...chubby cheeks, what cutie pies they were (are)! The angel wings are stretching it a bit..I mean, after all, they WERE boys! (Ranger Alcohol Ink in "Denim")
This is a tablespoon again dyed with Ranger's Alcohol Ink "Stream". Isn't the color just yummy? The little girl looked so very ponderous...I just HAD to add wings to keep things from becoming too serious! I added fibers, millefiori glass beads, and a charm to finish it up. What thinks ye? It's spoon madness I tell you! Who knows HOW MANY of these little creations will come bursting forth?!?!
I also made a bird banner...behold:
I also made a bird banner...behold:
DO look at the bigger image...there are lots of fab little elements on it you can't see too well. There is a prima papers tag with a crown, a "sugar coated" flower, a swirling, glittering bird, and vintage millinery flowers. I also used vintage seam binding, ric rac, and ribbon. The letters (which I don't think you can tell very well) are glittery silver...as are the swirls on the birdie. I used glitter rubons on each of the letters and paper garland and voila! Bird Banner! I shall give it away as a little RAK! Just leave a comment here if you'd like to win it...AND A SURPRISE! I will draw a name from the comments on Friday the 13th. :-)

Paula, I do so love these spoons!! They're just adorable and the one you dyed with the ranger ink -- it's perfect for the wee girl!!
I love your banner too -- you have been going at it like a mad hatter!!! Pop over to my Esprit blog is you are interested -- I'm having a giveaway too!
Paula, those are gorgeous...I love them, they are just awesome, would of never thought to use spoons...the banner is darling
Aren't those neat, I'd have never considered such a thing. I loved the video on the previous post too, I brought in a vase of my wild roses today-they are living up to their name this year, they needed pruning and I just never got to it.
