DING! DING! DING! MUCH AWAITED ANNOUNCEMENT!

Greetings, dear reader!

I am thrilled to announce the second annual from Paula's Palace of AltAred Art!

Altered Art: Collaging, embellishing, enamelling, stamping or doing anything else to a book or other household item to reflect a creative idea, theme or narrative. Making the old new again! It's being GREEN at its finest!

I am currently getting details in place, but wanted to give you the dates so you can be planning ahead. I am currently looking at a weekend in March: Friday, March 20, Saturday, March 21 and Sunday March 23. I have 2 (possibly 3) locations in mind. One is very local (i.e. in "the Vern), one is about an hour away (St. Charles, MO) and third is about a 5 hour drive in the beautiful Ozarks of Missouri! The prices are approximately the same, so the only additional expense would be travel to/from. If we decide on the Ozarks destination, I can drive our van and seat approximately 6-8 folks. (not counting luggage) :-) Some are handicap accessible, and some are not. The ST. Charles destination is an older Victorian home and therefore has little or no handicap access...with the possible exception of the Carriage House in the back! WOOT!

While I am in "information gathering" mode, I would like to hear from YOU, dear reader, to help discern what location is favored, and what projects you'd like to work on. I have some ideas already, but want to make sure things are as you'd like them!

The retreat will include travel costs, lodging, (2 nights, 3 days) all meals, projects materials, and class instruction. Isn't this exciting? Start saving your shekels now artists! You'll be SO glad you did!

(PS This would make a GREAT Valentine's gift from the hubby, don't you think? WINK)

More information soon!

XOXOXOX

HEAR YE, HEAR YE...EXCITING NEWS FLASH!

Greetings, Friends! Happy Sunday to you!

EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT #1: I have been once again on the Valentine Trail...and I have an exciting deal just for you, my special blog reading friends! I have digitally scanned the ENTIRE COLLECTION of vintage valentines I purchased from the estate sale. I am offering ALL of these GORGEOUS little pieces of art for only $25.00! It is 16 pages of vintage cards and images...TOO DIE FOR!

I have not done much in the way of making "cosmetic changes" via Photoshoppe, because part of the charm of these little treasures is their age and yellowed, brittle, goodness. However, when you buy the digital version, you have the option of cleaning up, repairing, and using over and over again these time worn goodies. I am also selling individual sheets for $3.00...however the little girl teacher's booklet comes only with the entire collection. I am SO excited about offering these for some fabulous Valentine AltAred Art! You can view said collection here.
Also, if you see one particular sheet that you really like, and you want to purchase it individually, send me an email with the Page Number of the sheet...you can pay via Paypal and I'll send you a link to download the high resolution page. (Without the watermarks, of course!)

There will be a Buy Now Button in the sidebar for the Vintage Valentine Collection...so there you have it...half the fun of finding such FAB little treasures is sharing them with all of you...and then seeing the AMAZING things you do with them!
EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT #2: The Retreat Weekend is just around the corner...DO get your registration fee in as early as possible so we can secure your room, meals and space! I have a lot of surprises for those who attend...lots of goodies to make, take and share! I'll be giving you a sneak peek of one of the make-n-take projects in a week or so. Be sure to check back in!
And now, as promised, the "Flea Market Show and Tell." Here are just a couple of the goodies I picked up yesterday...
