ATC SWAP AND FUNKY FINDS!

Greetings dear reader!

First of all I'm SO EXCITED to tell you that Art In Season has a featured spot on the Funky Finds Website! I have currently opened my shop in the Funky Finds Shops! Woohoo! Would you take a minute to go to the shops at Funky Finds and rate my shop? Thank YOU!

I am also writing to invite you all to participate in an ATC Swap! An ATC, for those of you who do not know, is an Artist Trading Card. At only 2.5 x 3.5 these tiny pieces of art can be traded and swapped all over the world! For only the cost of postage you can have a one of a kind piece of art with either a Halloween or Thanksgiving theme.

Here's an example of the front and back both a Halloween ATC. Do you have an old deck of playing cards? You can make ATCs from them! If anyone has a Thanksgiving or Autumn ATC you'd like to share as an example, please email me and I'll post it here!

Okay, here's the deal: If you want to be involved in the swap, please shoot me an email and let me know if you want to swap Halloween, Thanksgivining or both. This is a 10/9 Swap which means you send me 10 ATCs and receive 9 back. I will gather all the ATCs and then send each participant 9 different ATCs in return. Please make sure your ATC's are 2.5 x 3.5" and are on cardstock. You may do them all the same or all different. Originals or photo copies are fine, but all need an embellishment! Please send a bubble envelope with your return address label and postage.

All ATCs are to be in MY hands by Friday, October 24th. I will then immediately sort and mail all the ATCs back to you so you will hopefully have them on or near Halloween and well before Thanksgiving.

Sound like fun? Woohoo! I can't wait!

More soon!

XOXOXOX

AND YOU THINK *I* AM WEIRD???

Greetings, dear reader! First, a disclaimer:
For those who think THIS counselor needs a counselor for the previous doll head post, I would just like to go on record and say that I have received a TON of personal emails and LOTS of remarks saying my disembodied bevy of baby doll noggins is bodaciously INSPIRATIONAL.

I'm not sure whether that proves that *I* am slightly LESS "broken" or that the majority of my readers are a truly creepy lot...either way, I'm glad my artistic expression provokes you...for the good or for the ill. :-)

Speaking of art, I have created my first digital ATC...here it is for your viewing (and downloading) pleasure:

For those of you who are Photoshop saavy, you can blot out my little avatar face in the heart locket and add your own...for those who are NOT, you can print this out (it is an official 2.5 x 3.5 ATC size) and then glue a tiny photo of yourself over my smiling face. :-) Really. I don't mind.

To finish the ATC, I added some (non-digital) stamps, rub-ons, stickers, and the FABULOUS 7 Gypsies ATC Overlays. They now have that grungy look I am so fond of...I used a corner rounder on the overlays because the cards were already curved. Behold:

This particular card is reserved for the amazing Cat! (I have made other similar cards for close friends and relatives...get yours ready to swap!)

I'm thinking of starting an ATC Swap Group...
the Palace artists and myself are conspiring together... I'll let you know when the Kingdom Swap is at hand!
