AND THE HALLS ARE DECKED...FINALLY!

Greetings, dear readers!

Between being ill, crazy busy and requiring the help of Hubby Dear to fetch and unload the decorations, I am happy to report that the halls in the Clouse House are finally decked...behold:

Can you spot the "theme" this year? lol Inspired by Meri's Gilbert the Gnome , E's amazing Gnome Penny Rug, and Sandy's blown glass gnome ornament! LOVE!

E's little redbird has taken "roost" in my Christmas tree!

My retro "sweets" tree in the kitchen...inspired by Sandy at 521 Lake Street!

My wonderful Merry & Bright Banner from Joyce at Scrap for Joy! I LOVE it!

And, of course, after decking said halls, (I only live in a 4 room home, but every room has a tree and is decorated! Overkill? OF COURSE! it's ME! lol) I wrenched my back while putting bins back in the garage. THEN when walking the puppy I slipped and fell on the ice in the park...it was hysterical. Or rather, *I* was hysterical. You see, I and my sons have this "bizarre" behavior that happens when we are hurt...we laugh. Uncontrollably. And lose all strength to do anything BUT laugh. It's really quite amusing to watch...however, as I lay in a heap on the ground in the middle of the city park, (the ONLY soul to be walking a dog in 12 degree weather mind you)  I was unable to get up. So I lay there laughing while Webster looked at me quizzically...as if to say, "WHAT is your problem?!" I've been crippling around for 3 days now...moving OH SO SLOWLY. AND, tonight, we had a "glazing" of ice. Try to envision an already hurt, hyper cautious someone tenatively walking on ice...I looked like Tim Conway as the old man on Carol Burnett's show! (And moved about as slowly!)

Go ahead! Laugh at my (our) expense!

More soon! Paula Clare

Pretty, pretty, pretty! Love the way your decorations look against that turquoise!

So far I've managed to stay upright this winter. ;)

Your house looks so cute Paula! I wouldn't be able to laugh at you as I have a phobia about falling. I couldn't even watch that video without cringing. LOL I hope that your back is feeling better this morning. I'll be stopping by on New Year's Eve. My hubby is working so I know I'll be puttering around here at home anyway. Have a wonderful Christmas!

It's so funny how we come to recognize other artists' work. As soon as I saw your mantle, I thought, "That looks just like E's work." Sure enough, you're lucky enough to have some of her things! She's a doll, isn't she?

So sorry to hear you've been ill. As for falling, yeah. gotta admit. It's really funny to watch, but can be really painful too. One of those double-edged swords I suppose!
