A CHILD OF THE 70s...

Greetings, dear reader! Or, should I say, "Can you dig it?"

While foraging for pictures to include in my friendship banner, I ran across these jewels...reminding me, that I was indeed, a child of the 70's...

Note the groovy flowers and the low slung hip huggers...and of course the stylish wide, white belt...

Typical "hippie wear" red, white and blue shirts with jeans that had an enormous hand-made flag on either side of the bell bottoms...oh. And my attempt at a conservative dress...8th grade graduation. (I wanted a little tie dye number but my mom refused)

And then, ah yes, the ever popular peasant blouse. it was my favorite. And skinny jeans...I am at church camp here with friend Jan...she always had a wacky story to tell...

Anyway, just thought I'd share so you can revel in the memories and incense with me...lol

More soon...I'm working on a new altAred project...stay tuned!

Hugs,
Paula Clare

Oh' Paula. I love seeing your pictures. Those pictures look so familiar to me. Oh' that's right I'll be 50 years old tomorrow. That must be it! Just what I need to add to my life right now. I'm crying but not because I'm 50 but because of everything else at 50. Things were supposed to be so different. But I digress.

I loved those peasant tops, they were so airy and cool (both ways). Even the hair with braids makes me think of mine, I was blond and my hair was straight as a board. I remember the little knit mini dresses, hip hugger shorts - really short, red, white and blue, peace signs and fringe. Yep, I was a child of the 70's too.

Hugs...Tracy :)

I was a child of the 70's too and you look a lot like my best friend at the time. Her name was Paula too!

Paula, I just adore you! I came to ask you how the "weeds" are doing in your garden this year and find inspiration galore as usual! I love your Scottie banner!!! I think I have two Scotties left. For the life of me I hadn't been able to figure out what to do with them. Now I know! Oh my gosh, your photos are to die for! How cute are you! Your blue and white dress is soooo me! Also, to die for planters! Lucky you! I see you love the L&E show, too. I am so sad it doesn't come one any more. I actually had a psychiatrist tell me that I suffer from "I Love Lucy Syndrome". Basically he was saying that I am totally Clueless! Having fun here, thank you so much for your story! E

Hi Paula, I'm so glad you saw the vintage cards I found. I have downloaded them on flickr for easy use. I was just in Magpie Ethel's shop drooling and saw a wonderful flock of birds reserved for a Paula. I hope that party is headed your way! Too cute! I have posted information about our postcard swap if you will still like to join. It's an easy one - for a change! I hope you have a fun weekend. Elizabeth

In every picture you look like you are feeling Groovy. You are one groovy girl still with a keen sense of fashion!
Loved popping back to the last few post I missed due to building a Fairyland over on Gnomes Ahoy!
Happy to call you blog friend!
