Greetings my fellow scrapaholics! More today about our trip to the St. Louis Creating Keepsakes Convention...my last post only got us halfway through the second day...so I give you, RETURN OF CKC ST. LOUIS: PART 2 Our next class was called :Always and Forever. It was a mini acrylic album class using Prima Papers. I had never heard of Prima before, but fell in love with their old, shabby chic looking paper lines. Techniques used included inking, sanding, working with transparencies and adding dimension & depth with flowers and chipboard embellishments. Here, Deb displays her nearly finished project:
We discovered 2 amazing new tools for scrapbooking: Souffle pens and Stickles. Souffle pens by Sakura write dimensionally...we used it to make dots around the acrylic cover of our album. Behold:
The first page was decorated with this wonderful paint called "Stickles." You can't see it very well, but the paint adds delightful sparkle to the page. We also covered the chipboard "LOVE" letters with Stickles.
The album consisted of 1 acrylic cover, 1 small acrylic page and 3 chipboard pages. We covered the chipboard with these gorgeous prima papers:
And then crunched some paper circles and made paper flowers for the cover...
