DECKING THE HALLS: PART DEUX

Greetings, dear reader!

Well, I have purchased and replaced all 9 (count them) NINE strands of defunct lights with new ones...and can report that the decking of the halls has commenced. I am currently feeling quite a kinship with Buddy the Elf...I've just begun, but I wanted to let you see the progress as it happens.

Sadly, the DVD player is still dead, however NOT to be outdone (or undone), I enlisted my faithful laptop and listened to Trans Siberian Orchestra as I decorated. Does life get any better? I submit to you it DOES NOT! (unless I'd be hanging ornaments on a Palm Tree in some exotic locale). Webster was quite longsuffering, and was only moderately annoyed as I covered his spot on the loveseat with Christmas debris. I DID take him on several field trips to the garage...and excursion which he seemed to enjoy.

And so, without further adieu, a few more pics of the progress:

Hubby Dear and I got this fake fireplace right after we moved into our little cottage. It was only $50, and we have always loved the homey feel it adds to the living room. It is always "decoration central" when the holidays change.

And the TV Armoire also gets decorated:

And the corner of the living room:

And I've just started on the craft room!

More decorating (and snowmen) to come!

XOXOXOX

Hi Paula, I had to make a run to the store for only 1 set of defunct lights yesterday. Then when I added them to the rest of my lights the defunt set miraculously came back to life! Now my tree is very well lit. Deana

Thank you all SO MUCH for your kind comments about the Clouse House...the decorating madness continues...and continues...and continues...I always wanted my little cottage to be some place magical during the holidays. I don't have a lot of money invested, but I hope it still comes across as cozy, quaint and.. well...magical!
