CANDY CORN CONE DECORATING IDEA!

Greetings, dear reader!

Here is one of the finished "candy corn" paper cones I just finished:

Again using two of my favorite images...Stickled (of course!) and glued inside the cone. I printed the image in front slightly larger than the one in back...to give the illusion of her being closer.

I glued the flocked letters C-A-N-D-Y around the top of the cone, then added a sparkly silver pipe cleaner, wrapped with silver star garland. Filled it with orange and black peanutbutter kisses, and hung it on my aqua cabinet in the kitchen.

Hope you like it!

More ideas soon...readying the canned ham for a road trip to see the grandson...OH! And a new grand daughter will be arriving Wednesday!

Hugs to all!

A HALLOWEEN GIFT FOR YOU!

Greetings, dear reader!

As you can see, I've changed the look of my blog to celebrate the upcoming Ghouls Day...you likee?

While scouring my THOUSANDS of Halloween images, I came upon these dear owls, and thought I'd make us all something useful:

Simply click on the image to enlarge, right click then save! These little darlings would also look good sticking out of a tag book or album!

Tomorrow I drag out the many MANY tubs of fallish goodies to begin the annual decking of the Halloween Halls! I'll photograph as I go...how are YOU decorating this fall? Check out my new Flickr badge to see decorations and creations from previous year's events!

Talk to you again soon!

Hugs,
Paula Clare

ART FROM THE HEART CHALLENGE

Greetings dear reader!

Since having joined Art From the Heart, (a group of artists, photographers, painters and the like), we have been handed a challenge to in some way pay homage to Edgar Allen Poe this Halloween. Since he is a fave of mine, I already had some works in progress!

You might remember the little wall disc I made last year...

This year, using one of Red Lead's new Halloween stamps, I created a little Book ATC. The pages are actually bound with the waxed twine...however I separated them for photos...

These little pages pay tribute to some of my fave Poe stories...I love his poetry as well. The Raven and Anabel Lee have been faves of mine since grade school...

I also hand cut and glittered these two raven "sconces" to sit on the wall next to the haunted house canvas I created last year...

Oh! And I almost forgot...look at this adorable mummy doll pattern from Woman's Day Magazine:

I may try making paper versions!

More soon!

Hugs,
Paula Clare
