A NEW SEASON, A NEW LOOK!

Greetings, dear readers!

After my LOOOOOOOOONG Lenten sabbatical from the blog I am THRILLED to be back again...and after all the Easter hooplah has subsided, you will see that I am sporting a brand new look for my blog too! I've always wanted to have more of an original look and now I think I know how to pull it off! Anyway, stay tuned!

Also, I will be creating a blog ribbon to pay homage to Magpie-Ethel and her fab creative mind...as well as participating in Elizabeth's Retro Kitchen Tag Swap!

Will be sprucing up the canned ham in preparation for Season 2 of "The Cowgirl Monk Road Trip." I will be paying homage with the art of  the original Paper Cowgirl who has gone on to the Big Rodeo in the sky...I'll be sharing photos as I make the changes...

Anyway, lots of exciting changes to come...oh! And a giveaway! WOOT!

Hugs and Kisses,
Paula Clare

OBLIGATORY POST: SPRING SWAP...FIN!

Greetings again dear reader! It seems no matter WHAT I do I just cannot stay off of my blog! Alas and alack, I must post yet again to fulfill my obligation to the Dutch Sisters Surprise Spring Swap.

Behold the package I sent to my friend Michaja in Provence, France:

It's a little love sampler made from a flour sack towel! It was SO MUCH FUN to get my head "outside the box" when it comes to sewing...using Stayz On ink pads ensures my stamped images will stay on forever!

I'm so glad she liked it! I hope we can swap again sometime!

Thanks for stopping by! Hugs,
Paula Clare

THE GOOD SAINT PATRICK

As a monk, one of the many readings that has truly made a strong impact on me is this one from the Breastplate of St. Patrick:

KEEPING UP WITH PREVIOUSLY MADE OBLIGATIONS...

Greetings, dear readers!

Just a quick post to keep with a previous committment: the Surprise Spring Swap from the Dutch Sisters!

Remember this? I was SO EXCITED to find out that my swap partner lives in France! WOOHOO! I am THRILLED to send to her the special packages I've assembled:

So what's in said packages? Well that must remain a secret until my swap partner receives her gifts! Here are the requirements for the swap:

1. Find your two most beautiful spring fabrics and
cut of a fat quarter from each fabric. see this link
2. Make a lovely spring gift.
You can sew, knit, crochet, felt, embroider it!
It can be a anything as long as it is very pretty!
A little bird, a heart, a little doll, a small mini quilt, a house etc..
Wrap it up all pretty, and write a nice note to send with it because...
we believe notes make things extra nice!

Please,
make your gift so very special you almost want to keep it yourself!
The lovely gift and fabric has to fit and be send in a large envelope.
This is it nothing more nothing less.
Parcels must be sent on or before 21st March !

So there you have it...you KNOW what I sent...or DO you? Photos as soon as I'm sure Michaja has her goodies in hand!

Back to your regularly scheduled Lenten silence...

Hugs and kisses!
Paula Clare
