EEK! IT'S CONTAGIOUS! WHO KNEW?!

Greetings, dear reader!

Well, unbeknownst to me "Gnome Fever" is contagious! Just look what my dear friend E cooked up!

How completely adorable is that!? A Penny Rug full of Gnomey goodness! I am just astounded at Elizabeth's creative use of felt...and her seemingly unending patience with patterns! Speaking of patterns, she made one for this penny rug...and has it available on her blog. You simply MUST have it for a snowy, winter's day of stitching by the fire!

In other news, I am making a gnome "junque book"...here's the cover design:

Just click on the image and save to your computer. Cut out gnome front and back and trace onto heavy cardstock or chipboard. Decide how many pages you want your book (I would not make it over 6 or so...remember you'll need to embellish the front and back of each page!) Glue each image to 1 piece of chipboard, then Mod Podge cover for durability. Punch a hole in the top of the hat, OR in elbow and bottom of tunic. Insert book binder rings, voila! A gnome junque book ready for journaling, tags, photos, whatever! I'll share mine when I get it finished!

Oh! And I must show you a surprise "find" discovered at World Market (You DO have a World Market somewhere nearby, don't you?) These adorable Mario Mushroom containers! They are metal and full of sweetart-like candies!

They are with the Japanese food items...you've got to LOVE their sense of whimsy!

Back soon with my completed terrarium...I am still designing and deciding what goes where!

Meanwhile:

Hugs,
Paula Clare

Yeah Paula! I was so hoping you would be making a booklet to share about gnomes. So sweet to give us the image to use! You have begun gnome fever! Several people have stated they have purchased your book! I hadn't thought about gnomes in years until you posted your cute little containers! Enjoy your snow! E
